The Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), founded in 1956, is Singapore’s oldest not-for-profit professional institute for lifelong learning. MDIS has two main subsidiaries: Management Development Institute of Singapore Pte Ltd (MDIS Pte Ltd) to oversee its Singapore academic operations, and MDIS International Pte Ltd to further its globalisation strategy.
MDIS provides well-accredited courses, seminars and management services and opportunities for individuals to develop professionally through academic programmes in Business and Management, Engineering, Fashion Design, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Mass Communications, Psychology and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management. MDIS Malaysia
This is the Management Development Institute of Singapore's (MDIS) second overseas campus – the first being in Tashkent, Uzbekistan – and also marks the first major deal made by a Singaporean group in Iskandar’s special economic zone.
Once fully operational, MDIS Malaysia will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure such as campus-wide WiFi connectivity, fully-equipped computer laboratories, and dedicated lecture theatres. In accordance with the institution’s green initiative, the campus will also dedicate to approximately 40 percent of its 30.07 acres of land to incorporating eco- and disability-friendly features such as solar panels, rainwater collection tanks and glare shields to minimise water and electrical usage.
MDIS Malaysia will offer courses in Business, Tourism & Hospitality, Mass Communication, Information Technology, and Digital Media. All of these courses have already received the Malaysian Qualifications Agency’s (MQA) approval and relevant course licences.

The School of Business and Management aims to develop each individual to operate in a globalised economy and to contribute effectively to the companies and businesses in which they are involved.
Graduates of the school will be capable lifelong learners, with good communication skills, leadership skills, problem solving skills, managerial and entrepreneurial skills and prepared for careers in management and leadership in both the public and private sectors.
Graduates may gain final year entry to the University of Sunderland's (UK) degree programmes at MDIS Singapore, subject to university acceptance i.e 2.5 years diploma + 1 year to earn an Hons degree.
